Monkey Vault Weekend Hours
Because of the big summer meet (see pkto news post), the training centre will NOT BE OPEN this weekend. Wednesday and Thursday will run at normal hours, Fri, Sat and Sunday will be closed. Monday is a holiday, and will likely be running odd hours, but please call first.
In all reality if you train at the Monkey Vault, you should be coming out to the PKTO meet this weekend anyways, so there’s no reason this should effect you!

Over the next couple days I personally have A LOT of work to do, fun work though, and it’s important people keep upto date on the events themselves and plan their stuff!! Yet Another Parkour TV spot
Just after competition of the summer meet, a team of 3 from the MV start work on a :30 second commercial for a show airing later on Global. It will be your classic chase scene, but with a really odd twist. Get this…. One of the team members will be doing the whole chase scene in a gorilla costume! I can’t wait to see the footage after this, and we will be shooting some hilarious (I’m sure it will be) B-roll footage for the site.
DA MV TEAM BLOWS UP YA ERD! BLOUST!!!
Thats Right! Time to make the “Monkey Vault Performance Team” official! These specially chosen Monkey Vault members have been doing TV, film work, and performing in live shows for some time now. They have performed in places like Ottawa, New York, L.A., Mexico, Vancouver, and several times right here in Toronto! It was only natural that after all this fun the last few years, it was time we made this announcement! The team was not chosen solely on skill level. This is a group that is very active in helping the growth of parkour across the country. Aswell as training hard to push their own boundaries, they are pushing others to do the same. The Monkey Vault team is looking to help develop the scene across Canada, and to introduce parkour to the public in an exciting professional way.

Waterloo Parkour Conditioning
Last weekend UMass, this weekend we are welcoming a group of 15 or so from the Univesity of Waterloo Parkour Club. They have been here as a group before, but now that it’s summer we really want to get the whole group outside at once and work them good. They can expect prowler training, tires, sleds, and more! We’re busting out everything we got for these guys and it should be an awesome training day. Rest and prepare well Waterloo… prepare well…
Massachusetts parkour
This weekend we hosted a group of 3 from Massachusetts, who came to learn about the way we teach Parkour and our methods here at the MonkeyVault. Hopefully what was shared here helps their university club and we also hope they come visit us again in the future because we owe Travis and Kyle some tshirts!!
Virgin Mobile Commercial Audition
Next week we are holding a closed audition for Virgin Mobile. They are using the MV because they want to see how people will react in real world situations, albeit with height and things out of their element. The commercial is all about people texting in odd places, doing odd things, and should be a good one!
Summer time, not computer time!
Sorry for the lack of updates over the last couple weeks. We have been busy, well, enjoying summer and livin’ life!!! We will try to make a better effort to keep you all in the loop on what’s going on lately in the Vault… but the best way to feed that curiosity would really just be to come out, meet us, and enjoy the fun!
