‘Trained Monkey’ T’s
We get a lot of email and questions at the training centre about where we got our ‘Trained Monkey’ t-shirts and if they are for sale. We also get a lot of questions on how someone can donate to our cause. Let’s kill 2 birds with 1 stone here! After a long wait, we’ve finally decided to release our t-shirts to the public. Yes they are bright yellow, and yes you will stand out wearing it. Who doesn’t want to be bright!! A store tab will pop up at the top of the site soon where you can order via paypal, or you can pick them up in person when you come train. The t-shirts are $25, and the hoodies (black hoodie, yellow logo) are $40. Here’s a picture of us wearing the shirts from our Acapulco Parkour performance (bicep poses everywhere lately):

Waterloo Group Training Done and Dusted
Over the weekend we ran a group training for the Parkour club at Waterloo University. From tire flipping to prowler pushing to vaults with punching bags on their back to farmers walks, they went through all the ‘Monkey Vault classics’. After their 2 hour group training, we spent the rest of the day training various acrobatics, parkour movements, and just having fun. A great and very positive group; I hope they up their training and come back for more! Here’s a picture of the day:

Latest Girls Parkour Workshop Pic
This came to my in my inbox a little while ago, but I forgot all about posting it as we have been so busy here at the MV. Because of the success of these meet ups, we have decided we will be running girls workshops once a month now. The next one will be posted soon! We may even take this idea further by running an outdoor girls Parkour biweekly class come summer time. Email us of that is something you would do!
Check out this group picture from the last girls meet! There’s even a bicep pose, and it’s well known things went really well when there’s bicep poses!

Monkey Vault in LouLou Mag
We just wrapped up an interview for Lou Lou magazine that will feature the training centre and talk about the programs we run here. Hopefully it inspires some more females to come out, because I don’t know many guys that read this magazine off the top of my head! If anyone on here reads this magazine, lemme know how it turns out!
We’re back; more pumped than ever!
The Acapulco Mexico Parkour performance and workshops were a huge success! Not only was the hotel great, weather perfect and spirits high from our end… The participants from Liberty League International had by far the best attitude of all corporations and groups we have trained before, and we’ve trained quite a few! It was an eye opening experience, and one we will keep close to our hearts for a long time. Big thanks to Cliff in Cali for organizing, Heather for production and ‘apologizing for us’, Shane, Gene, Tony, Heather and more for being a blast to work with, and all the friends we made along the way. The Monkey Vault family is growing stronger by day… Lot’s of surprises ahead and a huge huge change to the way we run this site and community coming very soon.
Peace out and keep pimpin’… it’s the only way. ![]()

Just a reminder the gym floor will be closed from 1-3:30 tomorrow because of a female Parkour workshop. We are expecting about 20 females to show up, great turnout! Looking forward to a fun day as I go to bed here.
Acapulco Mexico Seminar/Performance
The next week will see four athletes fly out to hold two Parkour seminars and a live performance at a resort in Acapulco Mexico. Spirits are high here, and we are all excited to rendezvous with the other North American Parkour practitioners taking part as well! All in all the trip should be a blast with almost 1000 lucky people getting to experience Parkour for the first time, sweet weather (good bye snow) and awesome friends to experience it with. Wish us luck!
That being said the hours of the training centre WILL BE DIFFERENT this coming week, with a few days possibly having limited hours. Please check the site during this weekend for the update on this which will contain a full schedule.
Parkour Journalism Article
Here’s an article written by Matt Demers for his journalism program about the training centre, the community and some views and such. Matt is also someone who has trained here several times, and is even doing a scaled down version of our program as his own gym with great success! You can read the article he wrote here;

New Equipment; The Prowler
Last night in a funny series of events I was presented a birthday gift that I had no idea was coming and wouldn’t have imagined! Ill let the picture and those of you who have tried our makeshift prowler sprints, wonder what this piece of equipment will do to you. If you want to watch a video of some people at the training centre surprising me, and us using it in -16C weather (for you Americans, that’s cold!). Parkour training and conditioning here just got better. This summer is going to be a blast here. Tires, Prowler sprints, sleds, sandbags, and more. Not to mention the best Parkour training and conditioning in the world powered by the BEST COMMUNITY EVER!!!
Thanks guys! Let’s kill it this summer.
