Mirror’s Edge and The Monkey Vault
Upon the release of Mirror’s Edge for ps3, we will be having a Mirror’s Edge prize day at The Monkey Vault. EA Games is supplying us with some prizes to give away, including the game itself. Time only tells what you will have to do to win it though. The demo is already up and running inside lounge area and its pretty fun and I cant wait for time trial mode in the full game. When you train hard you get to play hard right? I haven’t played a game all the way through in a while but I’ll definitely play this one. On a side note, we concluded today that one of our members Mandy should change her name to Faith! Specifics on prizes and details to come later…
Classes Underway, more to come!
Kids classes for 5-8, and 9-12 year old kids are underway with tonight being their third week of training. With that being said, in November we will introduce adult and teenager classes at various times throughout the week, tricking classes, as well as putting out information on group trainings and workshops. Email us to tell us you are interested, and watch the site for more info!
Facebook Group
We’ve just created a facebook group for the training centre. I really have no idea why, buuuutt…. Here’s the link!

4 Man Performance in January
With news starting to travel that we exist and we are here to stay, we have booked yet another cool job, this time in the form of a live performance. A 4 man team is being sent out in January to boost up the moral of a bunch of sales people in Toronto. Since we are in charge of stage design, it should be a real blast.
Strongman PKTO Gym Meet
This week we mixed it up a bit and had a strongman-endurance type workout at the gym. The groups were split into four teams, Team Power Ranger, Team Street Fighter, Team Mortal Kombat, and Team Pokemon. Each team had to do a 1km double kettlebell carry, and an 800 metre team tire flip. After that they had to hold a medicine ball and pass it around without dropping it until the next team finished. Good work, specially everyone that had to carry dual 32kgs! I expect a lot of people with sore traps!
Defrancos Training Systems
In December Dan will be traveling to New Jersey for 3 days in order to take part in a seminar being held by Joe Defranco at his training centre. Those who know Dan best knows how obsessed he is with following different coaches athletic programs, and Defranco is definitely up there as one of the top in the world. Should be a fun and very educational trip, and expect some nasty hardcore Jersey training when he gets back. PS Dan isn’t looking forward to prowler sprints.
PKTO Open Gym Meets
Saturdays will always be dedicated to PKTO for their weekly gym meets. The gym meets will start at 1:30 and last until people want to go home. Every Saturday, 15 dollars. For those that might be cruising the site and don’t know, PKTO is Ontario’s Parkour community and contains articles, pictures and other things from past community events. Check out www.pkto.ca for more info.
BiWeekly-Monthly Female sessions
We will soon be starting seperate training for females interested in learning Parkour. Following off our last female meet, 3 months ago, which had 22 females come out, we decided this must be kept up and done more often. If you are female and interested, contact us about this. We hope to start in a couple weeks.
Feiyue Shoes
We have just started talks with Feiyue Shoes about Parkour and how they are the shoe of choice for a lot of the guys in Toronto. They are pronounced “Fee Way” (I would have never guessed), and we will be working closely with them on a few ideas in the future. More to come..
